Verizon workers are part of the 99%! Occupy Wall Street, other unions, and community groups joined CWA members to march from 140 West Street past Zuccotti Park (aka ?Liberty Plaza?) to shine a spotlight on corporate greed at Verizon and Verizon Wireless. The march began with a huge informational picketing line at 140 West Street and ended with a rally near a Verizon Wireless dealer a block from the Stock Exchange.

Information About the Verizon EEOC Disability Settlement

The EEOC settled a disability discrimination suit against Verizon earlier this year. The terms of the settlement apply to former Verizon employees who were terminated under the company's absence control plans when they should have been able to take further leave as a reasonable accommodation for an ADA-covered disability.

Verizon workers are part of the 99%! Together with Occupy Wall Street, we will march from 140 West Street past Zuccotti Park to shine a spotlight on corporate greed at Verizon and Verizon Wireless. The march will start at 5:15pm at 140 West Street, where informational picketing will start at 4:00pm. The march will finish near a Verizon Wireless store. Join us!
