2026 Summary of Agreement in Principle Between CWA and Verizon: Wireless Network

CWA is pleased to announce that we have reached a Tentative Agreement on a four-year extension of the current contract, which was set to expire on August 2, 2026. This contract extension, outlined below, preserves all of the protections of the 2016 contract and the prior extensions.
Highlights of Tentative Agreement
1. Duration of Extension
The terms of the contract will become effective upon ratification and will remain in effect until 11:59 pm on August 3, 2030.
2. Ratification Bonus
A bonus of $750 for full-time employees and $375 for part-time employees will be made to employees within 30-days of ratification.
3. General Wage Increases
The increases listed below will be applied to all steps of the basic wage schedules on the date indicated:
- An additional 1.00% added to the scheduled 3.00% raise on July 26, 2026, bringing the total raise to 4%
- 3.5% effective July 25, 2027
- 3.0% effective July 30, 2028
- 3.0% effective July 29, 2029
- 3.0% effective July 28, 2030
This is a 17.62% compounded wage increase from 2026-2030.
4. Article 12 Stand By
Will be increased from $300 to $350.
5. Jobs
A minimum of 10 technicians will be hired in New York.
6. Work At Home Agreement
The Letter of Agreement regarding Work at Home for the FAST group remains in effect for the term of the extension.
7. Committee on Work
The parties agreed to form a committee to explore the possibility of having bargaining unit members perform work that is currently being contracted out.
8. Established a New Daily Work Allowance
Bargaining unit employees will be paid a daily work allowance of $4.40 for each full or partial day worked in New York Metro (the “Daily Work Allowance”).
