CWA District 1/IBEW Local 2213 and IBEW New England Regional Committees met with the Company today at the Rye Town Hilton in Rye, NY. With just 4 days before contract expiration, your bargaining committee is still waiting for Verizon to get serious at the bargaining table. The Company spends more time sending messages to our members giving them ?bargaining facts? than they spend at the table. The Company?s ? bargaining facts? e-mailed today to our members stated that key issues are being explored at the bargaining table, yet the issues listed were only briefly mentioned at a June meeting and never raised again. Your bargaining committee needs you to let your managers know that you are demanding that the Company come to the table and bargain with your Union. The Company was not ready to meet until 5:30 p.m. today. They need to get serious. The clock is ticking and time is running out.

Regional Bargaining Report # 17: Verizon Still Doesn't Get It

With just 5 days before contract expiration, Verizon has yet to get serious at the bargaining table. While the message from Saturday?s rally, where more than 15,000 CWA/IBEW members, retirees and their families stood together to let Verizon know their demands are totally unacceptable, was carried by the media?. Verizon still doesn?t get it.

CWA District 1/IBEW Local 2213 and IBEW New England Regional Committees met with the Company today at the Rye Town Hilton in Rye, NY. The Union received answers to their questions on one of the company?s proposals. Unfortunately, the charts and presentations that they brought to the table to answers those questions were incorrect and the company needed to recess in order to correct those charts.

Regional Bargaining Report # 15: Overwhelming vote to authorize strike

CWA District 1/IBEW Local 2213 and IBEW New England Regional Teams met with the Company today at the Rye Town Hilton in Rye, NY. The Union presented additional proposals to the Company. The company asked questions about the Union?s initial set of proposals but made no movement on addressing any of the Union?s concerns. Verizon has not shown that they are serious about reaching an agreement with the Union or about having serious discussions around the issues to get to an agreement.

CWA District 1/IBEW Local 2213 and IBEW New England Regional Teams met with the Company today at the Rye Town Hilton in Rye, NY. Discussions centered on Absence. It was apparent to your bargaining Committee that Verizon did not come to the table to have a serious discussion. Management was strongly reminded that the contract expires in a little more than a week and that the time for them to get serious is NOW!!!

Regional Bargaining Report # 13: Don't Miss the Virtual Town Hall on Wednesday

CWA District 1/IBEW Local 2213 Regional and Local Bargaining Teams met with the Company today at the Rye Town Hilton in Rye, NY. The Regional Committee presented their Health Care proposal, together with a detailed plan to rein in the spiraling cost of benefits, while at the same time, improving the quality of care received. Discussions are scheduled to resume tomorrow morning.
