We are proud to honor Tameeka Chang from CWA Local 1040 in our Black History Month Spotlight! Tameeka, Local 1040 Legislative Political Coordinator, has made significant contributions to our union and the labor movement, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to solidarity, workers rights, and community empowerment.
Through her leadership and dedication, Tameeka has worked tirelessly to build the political power of our union, ensuring that our collective voice is strong both in the workplace and in the community. More than anything, she has been a champion for empowering her coworkers, leading political trainings that have strengthened activism and engagement within her local.
Thanks to the collective efforts of Tameeka and the dedicated activists of CWA Local 1040, the local has built a strong and engaged activist base, making a real impact in last year's elections and in the fight for workers rights. Her leadership, along with the commitment of CWA members, has helped strengthen the Union's political power and amplify the voices of working people throughout New Jersey and beyond.
Tameeka continues to be a driving force for positive change, not only within our union but beyond. It is an honor to recognize her dedication to the labor movement and her steadfast commitment to working people. Her work reflects the values we celebrate during Black History Month, and she truly deserves to be recognized for her outstanding contributions to both our union and the broader community.
