Following news from State Senate President Sweeney (D-Deptford) that the Senate plans to vote on ?Toolkit? proposals in September and October, CWAers doubled down on their efforts to get the message out.

Local 1036 Pounds the Pavement

Activists from Local 1036 hit the streets for New Jersey State Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein in her campaign for State Senate. Greenstein has been one of the few legislators on the side of public workers in New Jersey, and she is running against an anti-worker candidate who has voted in lock-step with Governor Chris Christie's agenda to attack the rights of workers.

Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation ACT

Public safety workers protect us and are there for our communities when we need them most. These hard working and dedicated men and women deserve to have their voices heard on the job. Unfortunately, only 25 states fully protect the right of state and local public safety officers to collectively bargain. This oversight in this country?s fundamental collective bargaining laws can be addressed through Congressional passage of The Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation Act (HR 413/S. 1611).
