Regional Bargaining Report 9: Get Ready to Rally

CWA District 1, IBEW Local 2213 and IBEW New England Local and Regional Bargaining Committees resumed negotiations with Verizon at the Ryetown Hilton in Rye, NY today. The committees presented additional union proposals. The committees also pressed the company for answers on questions from previous session. The company will be providing some of those answers tomorrow. The Company has not responded to any of our proposals at the Regional table. Discussions will resume tomorrow.

Bargaining Report #8: Monday, July 18, 2011

After meeting with Verizon locals from around the country to gather support for our fight against corporate greed, your CWA District 1, IBEW Local 2213 and IBEW New England Local and Regional Bargaining Committees resumed negotiations with Verizon at the Ryetown Hilton in Rye, NY today. Your union teams presented proposals covering numerous issues ranging from work rules to benefits and compensation. Discussions will resume tomorrow.

In all of our experience we have never seen such an aggressive agenda as the package of proposals the Company brought to the table today. Verizon has made it clear they want to take away almost every protection we have as Union workers.
