NJ CWAers Join Town Hall to Hold Congressman Accountable to the People

Hundreds of people, including members of CWA Locals 1081, 1087, 1088, packed the room on March 22 for a Town Hall in New Jersey’s 4th Congressional District to tell Representative Chris Smith - who was a no show - to listen to his constituents and stop supporting the drastic, devastating cuts being proposed in Washington.
CWA 1088 President Diana Leone joined a long list of speakers holding Rep. Smith accountable to the people, asking, “What are your values and priorities? Because this is the time of choosing a side. Which side are you on, Rep. Smith? On the side of your constituents, the workers and the vulnerable or on the side of the well-off and privileged?”
