First Contract Victory for Local 1180 Tutor Associates Workers!

After a whopping 776 days (that’s 2+ years) of hard bargaining, CWA Local 1180 members at education company Tutor Associates ratified their first union contract on November 13th!

The strong contract includes:

• Wage increases
• Paid trainings
• Equipment reimbursements
• Improved scheduling and work assignment systems
• Non-discrimination and safety protocols
• Time off protection
• Management accountability

Over the past two years, the workers have waged a strong contract campaign, never letting up at the bargaining table as well as organizing strong mobilization efforts, particularly sharing personal stories about the impact of their work and the lack of on-the-job protections.

The bargaining unit announced on Instagram that “the work to build and strengthen our union only continues!” As it should!
