CWA Leaders Turn Out to Support One of Our Own

In his first year in office, former CWA Local 1123 President and NY State Senator Chris Ryan has shown his continued dedication to this membership, and to workers throughout the state. He’s already worked with us to pass a number of vital pieces of legislation, including a bill that will protect our members from harmful, anti-union “One Touch Make Ready” regulations and hold companies that violate the law accountable.

CWA played a pivotal role in his first election last year, and his success so far shows the value of electing working people into office! On September 8th leaders from District 1 as well as Locals 1101, 1109, 1180 were joined by New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins and New York Attorney General Letitia James for a fundraiser to support Senator Ryan as he prepares for next year’s reelection, to make sure that he can continue representing us in Albany and keep up the fight to make New York even more union strong!
