DONALD TRUMP IS AN ANTI-WORKER HYPOCRITE AND FRAUD

Working families deserve better than Donald Trump and that's why CWA members are doing everything they can to elect Hillary Clinton president of the United States.

We've all heard Donald Trump say he "wants to make America great again" but we know that he buys his steel from Chinese manufacturers and hides those purchases so no one sees just how anti-American-worker he really is.

Hillary Clinton reminded us during the last debate: Donald Trump's tax plan "will give the wealthy and corporations the biggest tax cuts they've ever had, more than the Bush tax cuts by at least a factor of two…The way that he talks about his tax cuts would end up raising taxes on millions of middle-class families."

VERIZON WIRELESS LAYOFFS

Verizon Wireless is cutting thousands of jobs across the country.

“It’s corporate greed at its worst." said CWA President Chris Shelton. "Does this mean more jobs and more customer service problems will be shipped to Verizon overseas operations in the Philippines and other countries?"

“CWA has been working with Verizon Wireless workers at call centers and retail stores, to help workers get the union voice and representation they want and so clearly need." Shelton continued, "In fact, workers at VZW stores in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Everett, Mass., just won a first contract just this year. We will keep up the fight against ‘very greedy’ Verizon.”

WELLS FARGO STOCK FALLS 2%, CEO RESIGNS

CWAers & allies busy taking down the big banks - urging NYC to divest from Wells Fargo at corporate headquarters in New York.

Wells Fargo has launched a campaign to regain customers’ trust after revelations that, in order to meet aggressive sales quotas, bank employees created as many as 2 million accounts in customers’ names without their knowledge or consent. John Stumpf has resigned as the company’s CEO and has been replaced by Tim Sloan.

All this comes after bank workers blew the whistle on the bank's predatory and high-pressure sales tactics.

Khalid Taha, a former Wells Fargo personal banker and Committee for Better Banks member, quoted in Reuters said, "Wells Fargo's problems go from top to bottom," he said. "Sloan is part of that problem. I can't see him as a solution."
