Bringing Members Together to Build Power: CWA Local 1038 Human Rights & Equity Resource Fair

Over 50 CWA members participated in the Local 1038 Human Rights & Equity Resource Fair on November 12 in downtown Trenton, NJ.
The fair gave CWAers a chance to mingle, learn, and build power together during their lunch breaks, with twenty vendors dedicated to education, civil rights, healthcare, and essential New Jersey services, including the NAACP, Garden State Equality, the New Jersey Civil Service Commission, the Sierra Club, the American Red Cross, and many more.
“Let’s celebrate equity, support and solidarity here, in our worksites and our communities,” said Carlye Lamarca, a worker at the NJ Department of Labor and Chair of the 038 Human Rights Committee who helped organize the event alongside Executive Board Vice President Evangeline Banks and a number of other 1038 Stewards and leaders.
