NJ LEGISLATURE CLEARS PENSION CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT

On January 11, the New Jersey Legislature approved resolutions to place a constitutional amendment before voters in November requiring the state to fulfill its obligation to make full payments into the pension system, protecting the benefits earned by workers.

Congratulations to CWA Local 1120's newest members at the Monroe Free Library who unanimously ratified their first contract. The unit joined CWA in September, 2014 after the Library Board tried unsuccessfully to block the workers from organizing.
