GOVERNOR-ELECT MIKIE SHERRILL NAMES CWA D1’s ANNA-MARTA VISKY TO TRANSITION COMMITTEE
TRENTON, NEW JERSEY — Governor-Elect Mikie Sherrill has named Anna-Marta Visky, CWA District 1's New Jersey Political and Field Director, to serve on her Transition Advisory Committee. The committee, composed of over 400 experts and community leaders from across the state, will counsel the incoming administration on key New Jersey issues and priorities.
In her role with CWA District 1, Visky has been instrumental in mobilizing members, advancing pro-worker policies, and strengthening political engagement across the state. Her selection to this committee ensures that the voices of frontline workers and union members will be represented in discussions on federal policy and priorities.
“This is a well-deserved appointment that reflects Anna-Marta’s commitment and effective leadership,” said Dennis G. Trainor, Vice President of CWA District 1. “Her insight will be invaluable in shaping an agenda that lifts up working people across New Jersey.”
Visky expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stating, "I am honored to serve on this committee and to bring the perspective of CWA members to the table. Together, we can fight for policies that create good jobs, protect workers' rights, and build a stronger, fairer New Jersey.”
CWA District 1 represents thousands of telecommunications, media, public sector, and healthcare workers throughout New Jersey and the Northeast.
