NJ County Workers: Ballots Open in PERS Election; CWA recommends Local 1032 member John Wisniewski

Voting in the New Jersey Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) Election has begun—and CWAers’ retirement security is at stake. All CWA members who are NJ municipal workers are eligible to vote in the election, taking place now through May 30.

CWA along with the NJ AFL-CIO is proudly endorsing our own CWA Local 1032 member John Wisniewski as a Board Trustee.

The money we have invested in the Public Employees’ Retirement System will give us a comfortable lifestyle after we finish our service to New Jersey—but only if the Board of Trustees continues to act in our best financial interests.

That’s why it’s important to elect a Trustee who has always put his fellow workers first, and to elect a rank-and-file union brother who watches out for union members and our hard-earned pensions.

John Wisniewski is a union-endorsed PERS Trustee who will be a watchdog on our behalf and ensure that State pension funds are managed wisely. When you receive your PERS ballot, please consider voting to elect John as a Board Trustee.

Voting Procedure and Timeline

  • Municipal workers should have received a PERS ballot from their employer
