NY Gearing Up to Win Even More for Workers in 2020

Local 1101 kicked off their own Political Action Fund drive at Arms Acres Health Care Facility in Carmel, NY, along with a Steward Training last week.

Workers won big throughout District 1 in 2018, with a tidal wave of pro-labor candidates winning races up and down the ballot who immediately put words into action in 2019. In New York alone, legislators passed bills that protect call center workers, shorten the waiting time to collect unemployment during a strike, and make it easier for farm workers to form unions. We’re kicking our Legislative Political Training series into high gear in the coming months to get ourselves ready to score even more victories in 2020!
