LOCAL 1298 KICKS OFF MAJOR CALL CENTER BILL CAMPAIGN IN CONNECTICUT
Call center workers are some of the most vulnerable to outsourcing and layoffs, and with huge wins in New York and New Jersey on legislation to protect call center workers over the past year, CWA members in Connecticut are stepping up to secure new protections for their state's workers as well.
CWA Local 1298 held a Legislative Training yesterday to get prepped for a big year ahead and plan for the campaign to pass the call center bill. In the coming weeks, we will be going all out to make phonecalls to legislators, write op-eds, send postcards, travel to Hartford to fight for the bill in person, and anything else needed to make sure that our legislators know that Connecticut must keep call center jobs here!
