CWAers Celebrate Labor Day 2015
On Labor Day, we celebrate the incredible achievements of working people: the blood, sweat, and tears that are the foundation of our movement and will continue to build our movement for decades to come.
On Saturday, CWAers, joined by President Chris Shelton and thousands of other union members, marched up 5th Avenue in Manhattan for the 2015 New York City Labor Day Parade.
"We are New York City and New York City depends on this labor movement and we built the city. We live in the city. We have all our investment in the city and so it's a great day to show New Yorkers what New York City is really all about," said parade chair George Miranda.

In Buffalo, CWA District 1 Area Director Debbie Hayes proudly served as the Grand Marshall of the Labor Day Parade which has been a part of Western New York since 1988. This year, hundreds of workers from 60 different labor unions took to the streets of South Buffalo to show the strength of Western New York’s labor movement.
