District One wins CWA-COPE contest
The results are in! In the COPE contest ending October 26th, 1,107 District One members pledged to donate or increase their contribution by a dollar a week. That’s more than any other CWA district.
Congratulations to Michael Jones of Brooklyn, a member of Local 1109, one of the thousands of CWA members who pledged to donate. Along with 7 other CWA members from around the country, he won a trip for two to Las Vegas, including airfare and two nights’ accommodation. You can see all of the winners here.
CWA Executive Vice President Annie Hill and CWA Secretary-Treasurer Jeff Rechenbach drew the winners in a live webstream on Tuesday, November 2nd. Hill said, "The CWA-COPE drive has been a huge success, helping to raise additional funds for candidates who support working family issues and energizing members across our union."
Thanks to everyone for your support. And to all the winners, enjoy Vegas!
