CWA members in Buffalo, NY called attention to the issues facing workers at Catholic Health last night, handing out 2000 posters outlining Catholic Health's bad behavior to concert go-ers on their way to a Bruce Springsteen show. CWA represents more than 3,000 employees at Catholic Health.

Catholic Health's Executive Compensation Bonus plan rewards top executives for meeting net income goals while harming workers and undermining the quality of care employees strive to provide.

As a result of the bonus plan, Chief Human Resources Officer Michael Moley's compensation doubled to over $600,000 in the last four years. During the same period, Catholic Health's nurses and other employees were forced to take major cuts in their compensation. And the hospital keeps demanding more.

As head of Human Resources, the only way Mr. Moley achieves his bonus target is by forcing us to take concessions at the bargaining table, whether they are needed or not. Mike Moley's raises average 17% per year including a recent one-year bonus of $151,753.

Unsuprisingly, this abuse has led to preventable staff turnover and shortages, negatively impacting the community.

It's time to stop the abuse. Click here to take action and add your name to a letter demanding better at Catholic Health.
