Event Alert: Webinar on Climate Change and Jobs

Are you concerned about how climate change will affect our communities, jobs, and work lives? As we're facing more extreme weather, like the heatwave we're experiencing right now, or unusual floods or droughts across the country, the United Nations just released an alarming report that shows we have less time to save the planet than we thought.
We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape a low-carbon future and create good union jobs that benefit communities across the Northeast. It's our job in the labor movement to make sure these are good jobs that benefit the climate, workers, and communities. It's also our job to make sure that folks who lose their jobs during the transition are taken care of. Join us on Thursday, September 2nd, to learn how to make it happen.Leading the webinar are special guests:- Mariah Dignan, Long Island Organizer for the Climate Jobs NY & Climate Jobs NY Education Fund
- Zach Cunningham from the ILR Worker Institute at Cornell University
