STATEMENT FROM CWA DISTRICT 1 ON FY 2022 BUDGET DIGITAL ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN

The Communications Workers of America announced a new $28,000 Facebook digital advertising buy thanking Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie and Senators James Skoufis, Michelle Hinchey, John Mannion, Rachel May, Samra Brouk and Jeremy Cooney and for their advocacy for working families during the FY 2022 budget negotiations. The targeted advertisements provide constituents with the opportunity to send each office a thank you note for pushing through key policies that will help New Yorkers recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ads will run through Monday, April 19th, and originally began running on Thursday, April 8th. The total CWA advertising buy during this time period is $28,000.
Statement from Dennis Trainor, Vice President, Communications Workers of America District 1: “This year’s budget was a monumental moment in the history of New York State. With additional revenue and new funding for schools, broadband, small businesses and excluded workers, we are showing the country what it means to be a progressive leader. These victories could not have happened without the tireless advocacy of these elected officials, who time and time again went to bat for New York’s working families. We thank them for their commitment to creating stronger communities and a more just state.”
