Montefiore Nyack Hospital - Local 1103

On June 22nd, CWA Local 1103 welcomed the Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) at Montefiore Nyack Hospital, who voted overwhelmingly to join CWA in a National Labor Relations Board election! The workers join hundreds of technical employees at the hospital already represented by Local 1103.

Broadband Organizing Work

CWA member organizers across New York State are educating fellow CWAers on the incoming federal investment that aims to close the digital divide and bring fiber to more homes. Wherever our existing employers don’t get or want the broadband work, members of the Broadband Organizing Brigade will go after the non-union companies that win the bid to organize the workers. In order to do that, we need the help of our CWA members who have an eye out in the field and an eye and ear on the ground about what’s going on and who can help the brigade find organizing leads.

On June 27, our new members of the CWA Broadband Organizing Brigade from Local 1103 visited the Yonkers Verizon garage.
