CWA Local 1103 members demand fairness at Verizon.
Over 1000 CWAers took action on Black Friday to send Verizon a clear message: We won't stop fighting until we have fair contracts at Verizon and Verizon Wireless.
AMERICAN AIRLINES AGENTS RATIFY FIRST CONTRACT
American Airlines agents, members of the CWA/IBT Passenger Service Association, ratified a historic first contract by a 73 percent “yes” vote.
The agreement covers nearly 15,000 airport and home and office based reservations agents.
FEDS SLAP VERIZON WITH LABOR COMPLAINT
Verizon has been slapped with a federal complaint for illegally firing CWA Local 1109 member Bianca Cunningham in an attempt to silence and terrify Brooklyn Verizon Wireless workers.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHERS IN BOSTON VOTE TO JOIN TNG-CWA
Congratulations to English language instructors at the EF International Language Center in Boston who voted 19 to 8 to join the Boston Newspaper Guild (TNG-CWA Local 31245) in a National Labor Relations Board election.
LOTTERY HAS BEEN NO JACKPOT FOR NEW JERSEY SINCE PRIVATE CONTRACTOR TOOK OVER
Yet another privatization fail by the Chris Christie administration in New Jersey. Before privatizing sales and marketing function, New Jersey had an award-winning lottery that was one of the most efficiently-run lotteries in America. Now, the private vendor that took over -- after spending half a million dollars on lobbyists with deep ties to Christie -- is failing to hit revenue targets, costing the state vital money for programs.
ENVOY AGENTS VOTE FOR CWA REPRESENTATION

Nearly 5,000 Envoy Air agents at 102 stations nationwide joined together and voted overwhelmingly for CWA representation in an election conducted by the National Mediation Board.
2016 CWA JOE BEIRNE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Applications for the CWA Joe Beirne Foundation's annual scholarship offerings for the 2016-2017 school year are now being accepted through April 29, 2016.
Fifteen partial college scholarships of up to $3,000 each will be awarded, and the winners also will receive second-year scholarships for the same amount, contingent upon satisfactory academic achievement. CWA members, their spouses, children and grandchildren, including the dependents of retired, laid-off, or deceased members are eligible.
