CWAers Talk to Voters in New Jersey Ahead of Big Legislative Elections
With over 35,000 State workers among our membership in New Jersey, state legislative elections are vitally important not just for the overall strength and advancement of the state - they also have a direct impact on our members’ jobs and lives - our contracts, our healthcare, our pensions, and more.
Recognizing that importance, CWA members in New Jersey have come out in droves over the past several weeks to help elect candidates in several key districts who will fight for working families and help strengthen the state.
CWA Local 1036 has held Labor Walks throughout the month to talk to voters in Mercer County.
CWA Locals 1036 and 1037 hit the pavement over the weekend in Middlesex and Sommerset Counties to get out the vote.
A dozen members of Locals 1033 and 1037 made calls to CWA members last week to talk about pro-worker candidates and make sure that members know about their options for voting, including vote-by-mail.
