CWA Local 1120 members in Poughkeepsie, NY made a huge impact on the community last week! 1120 joined Tommy Zurhellen, candidate for Dutchess County Executive, for Tommy's Truck for Veterans event to collect and donate food items for a new Veterans One Stop facility in Pleasant Valley, NY. The project aims to help veterans who may be without housing and don't have kitchen access, so food collected is all portable, does not need refrigeration, and does not need to be prepared. In total, the group gathered a massive two truckloads of food items!
