Celebrating Labor Throughout District 1

Rochester - Local 1170 members, Retirees, and families formed a huge contingent for this year’s Labor Day Parade in Rochester, NY!

Buffalo - Although the annual Labor Day Parade in Buffalo, NY was rained out, that didn’t stop CWA Locals 1122, 1133, and 1168 from rallying to celebrate workers - including handing out flyers to the community about our fight to put a stop to union busting at Orchard Park Vet Medical Center, where workers voted in July to join CWA Local 1168.

New Haven - Local 1298 members stepped up once again for their annual tradition manning a water station during the water station at the New Haven Labor Day Road Race in New Haven, CT!

NYC - CWA members flooded 5th Avenue in New York City with red on September 10th for the first NYC Labor Day Parade since 2019. D1 members were joined by out CWA siblings from the Association of Flight Attendants and The News Guild, as well as CWA National President Chris Shelton, CWA Secretary-Treasurer Sara Steffens, CWA District 1 Vice President Dennis Trainor, AFA-CWA President Sara Nelson, and AFA-CWA International Secretary-Treasurer Dante Harris.
