Blood Drive by CWA Local 1040 Saves Lives

On July 19 CWA Local 1040 branch leadership at East Jersey State Prison and the Adult Treatment and Diagnostic Center organized a successful blood drive! Organizers collected enough blood to save 51 lives, and generated so much solidarity and excitement that participants asked to have another blood drive in the fall. This is the first blood drive by Local 1040 to be scheduled this year by the Local’s Community Service Committee.
