CWA Endorses Josue Pierre for City Council
Josue Pierre was raised in Flatbush by a mother who was a longtime member of 1199SEIU and instilled the importance of unions in him. He attended public schools and then worked part-time while earning his undergraduate degree, so he understands the needs of working families. While working in the New York City Comptroller’s office, Josue has also been a community organizer and advocate, co-founding the Shirley Chisholm Democratic Club to help get Flatbush area residents registered to vote and engaged in the political process. He’s a leader in democracy.
Here's why CWA District 1 is endorsing Josue Pierre for District 40:
Stands with unions through and through. He comes from a union family and knows our fight.
Will fight for small business that make up our community and provide good jobs by expanding access to grants and loans to make sure out city thrives.
Passionate about education and will fight to ensure that all New Yorkers have access to quality education and resources needed to succeed.
