CWAers Stand Up to AT&T and Let Customers Know Which Stores are Naughty and Nice
On December 11th, CWA District 1 members joined CWAers throughout the country visiting dozens of AT&T third party dealer stores for a National Day of Action Against AT&T’s Outsourcing and Job Cuts. AT&T has closed hundreds of union-staffed retail stores and replaced many of them with non-union “authorized retailers,” so at the CWA National Convention in October, Delegates called for a day of action to take a stand against this outsourcing and union busting.
Our members spoke with customers about the advantages of shopping at company-owned, union-staffed stores and gave out flyers directing shoppers to CWA’s online union-staffed AT&T store locator at cwa.org/attstore.
