New York Members Prepare for Battleground Election in 2024

More than 60 CWA members and guests gathered in Elmsford, NY last week for the Battleground New York Summit to gear up for what is anticipated to be a historic election coming up next year. In the 2022 Midterm Elections, pro-worker candidates lost several key races in New York Congressional Districts, and in just one year we’ve already felt the fallout - a House of Representatives repeatedly tied up with infighting and leadership votes, unable (and, at times, unwilling) to advance legislation, and working families held hostage by a House Majority that puts corporations and the ultra-rich ahead of our needs. CWA Legislative and Political Action Team members are committed to taking back the House for working people in 2024, and preparations begin now.

On October 19th, Summit participants discussed the 2022 elections and how we got here, key races we’re anticipating in 2024, and how we can work together to ensure that all of our members know how important this election will be.
