Verizon Regional Bargaining Report # 48

The CWA District 1/IBEW Local 2213 and IBEW New England Regional Committees met with the Company last week at the Rye Town Hilton to exchange proposals on Call Sharing. This week there was a high level meeting where both sides agreed to continue bargaining to see if both parties can address each others critical issues. If Verizon continues to refuse to address our critical issues and insists on keeping their many retrogressive demands on the table we will have no choice but to strike this Company. We met with the Company today regarding Call Sharing and will continue to review proposals through the week. Members should remain on high alert for a possible strike. We will do whatever it takes to protect our jobs, our retirement security, our families, and our dignity on the job.
