This is What Mobilization Looks Like!

On Thursday, April 9th, informational picketing began throughout the Verizon East footprint to prepare for bargaining and contract expiration on August 1st, 2015. Members from across District 1 and District 2-13 stood up demanding good jobs as well as high speed internet for all.
CWA also kicked off a “virtual” picket on Facebook, with members sharing a picture on Facebook matching informational picket lines held in person.

Verizon bargaining begins in June, and we know unity is the key to victory. CWA and IBEW members deserve a fair and just contract. Verizon also needs to build out its FiOS service throughout its service area to ensure good jobs as well as good customer service.
Stay tuned for more updates about Verizon mobilization and bargaining - and get ready for August 1, 2015.
