New Radio Ad Pushes Quality Care Act

A radio spot from CWA this week is pushing a bill designed to boost staffing levels at hospitals in the state.
Supporters of the bill, a version of which was introduced in 2013, say having an "appropriate" ratio of nurses to direct caregivers at hospitals will improve patient outcomes at hospitals.
The 60-second ad, also sponsored by the New York State Nurses Association, features a nurse calling for the passage of the bill.
"My training and experience tell me that the more time I spend with a patient, the more likely they'll survive and heal," the ad's narrator says. "Studies back this up. But sometimes I have more patients than I can safely care for."
