NEW YORK CWAers GEAR UP TO HELP PRO-WORKER CANDIDATES WIN PRIMARIES
In the New York Primary Election last week, CWA-endorsed candidates won big! The pandemic did not stop CWA members from going all out to help elect pro-worker candidates in Assembly, State Senate, and Congressional Primaries, including phonebanking (left) and volunteering to get out the vote on Election Day (right).
Due to larger than normal numbers of absentee ballots that still need to be counted, we’re still waiting on official results for many races, but we can already congratulate Tom Suozzi (NY-03), Grace Meng (NY-06), Nydia Velazquez (NY-07), Yvette Clark (NY-09), Jerry Nadler (NY-10), Adriano Espaillat (NY-13), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14), and Ritchie Torres (NY-15).
