Local 1180 President Gloria Middleton Honored By the Workers Defense League
Our own Gloria Middleton, President of CWA Local 1180, was honored last week at the 87th Workers Defense League Anniversary Event for her long and illustrious career fighting for workers!
“She led the local’s fight against pay discrimination, filed a historic EEOC charge against the Bloomberg Administration, and as President, won the lawsuit, winning a $15 million settlement for Administrative Managers,” said CWA District 1 Vice President Dennis Trainor as he introduced Gloria during the event. “She is committed to leading a politically progressive union that organizes, mobilizes, and empowers members to improve their lives and that of all New Yorkers. Gloria continues to put Local 1180 on the map as one of the most progressive, outspoken unions with a voice for all working people.”
Congrats Gloria!
