Congratulations to CWA Local 1168's Director of Mobilizing and Organizing, Patrick Weisansal II on being awarded the Buffalo AFL-CIO CLC's Young Unionist/Samuel Gompers Award for 2016.
On Tuesday, the Buffalo AFL-CIO Central Labor Council honored several area Unionists and Labor Organizations at its annual Holiday meeting, and laid out its plans for 2016 to the more than 100 labor leaders, representatives and delegates in attendance.
An organizer, mobilizer, and Radiologic Technologist out of Buffalo General Medical Center, Patrick was successful in his organizing drive at Planned Parenthood. According to Buffalo AFL-CIO Labor Council President John Mudie and Executive Vice President of CWA Local 1122, Patrick brings ‘high energy’ and a ‘fresh set of ideas’ to the Labor Movement."
