CWA Local 1040 Helps NJ Children Heading Back to School

The newly-formed Men’s Committee of CWA Local 1040 is already making an impact! 

Members of the Men’s Committee kicked off a Back to School Supply Drive earlier this summer to help New Jersey children heading into the new school year. By Labor Day, the Committee gathered hundreds of school items including backpacks, notebooks, crayons, pencils, glue, erasers, sharpeners, rulers, markers, and more! In addition to the physical items, the committee also collected monetary donations used to purchase even more school supplies. 

Supplies were then to the Newark, Trenton, and Camden school districts and were greatly appreciated by the schools and their students returning to classrooms last week.
