Broadband Brigade Update

CWA Local 1101 member Pam Galpern, a member of the 1101 Legislative & Political Action Team and the District 1 Broadband Brigade, joined a legislative meeting with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on August 1st alongside District 1 Legislative Director Becca Miller to speak about the importance of broadband expansion and union jobs. Senator Schumer praised CWA’s work thus far in advocating for broadband throughout New York. The discussion centered on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and how its massive $65 billion dollar investment can best be implemented to create good jobs and high-quality networks, and ensure universal access for all - and how New York can be a model for other states throughout the country.
