AT&T Connecticut Bargaining Report #3
The Union and the Company met today and the company made several retrogressive proposals related to healthcare and Article VII. In addition, they passed a proposal to eliminate the commitment of employment security. The Union stressed how shameful it is that AT&T would propose these changes after forcing many of these employees to continue their employment with AT&T when they could have had gainful employment and a Guaranteed Job Offer had they been allowed to transition at the time of the Frontier acquisition. We emphasized the unfairness of these actions toward employees who chose to stay here at AT&T because they mistakenly felt that their employer valued their service and the work they do. The Union will be making counter proposals next week in effort to protect our members from these attacks by AT&T.
