NY City Council Budget & Traffic in NYPD Update

The City Council and Mayor de Blasio are very close to an agreement on the City budget. 

We wanted to let you know as soon as we could that CWA’s contacts are telling us that in this new budget deal, TRAFFIC WILL REMAIN PART OF THE NYPD. Our hard work is paying off:  our petitions, our phone calls, the articles we published, have convinced the Mayor and the Council that TRAFFIC SHOULD STAY IN THE NYPD. 

Of course, we won’t stop lobbying until the deal is 100% final, and NOTHING IS DONE UNTIL IT'S DONE.  But we are very optimistic that victory for Traffic Agents and Supervisors is within reach.
