COVID-19 Update: New Testing Sites

Three health care entities have stepped forward to offer free coronavirus testing programs for the NYPD, bringing the total number testing facilities available to 74.

New Testing Locations:

Montefiore Health System

  • Montefiore Health System is offering FREE COVID19 PCR testing performed (definitive test results). Symptomatic patients only.
  • Testing turn-around time is less than 24 HOURS. Rapid testing coming soon.
  • Montefiore testing - drive through locations:
  1. Bronx East – 2100 Bartow Ave - AMC Theater Parking Lot (7 days, 0800x1800) 
  2. Bronx West – West Bedford Park Blvd and Goulden Ave – Lehman College Lot (7 days, 0800x1800)
  3. Bronx Zoo – Bronx River Parkway Exit 6 – Bronx Zoo Parking Lot “B” (M-F, 0900x1700)
  4. Westchester Tarrytown – 555 South Broadway, Tarrytown – Montefiore Parking Lot of Building D – (M-F, 0900x1700

  • No appointment necessary (show ID to be given priority).
  • Symptomatic patients only.
  • No co-pay for NYPD members.
  • Emblem/GHI, NYS-HIP and other major medical insurance accepted.
  • COVID19 PCR testing performed (definitive test results). Testing turn-around time is 24 HOURS. Rapid testing coming soon.
  • These centers also have the full clinical capability to evaluate MOS if further treatment is needed. All centers have X-rays, point of care testing, blood draw capability, etc.
  • Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 0800 – 2000 hours | Saturday & Sunday, 0900 – 1700 hours

ProHealth Urgent Care

  • No appointment necessary (show ID to be given priority).
  • Symptomatic patients only.
  • No co-pay for NYPD members.
  • Emblem/GHI, NYS-HIP and other major medical insurance accepted.
  • COVID19 PCR testing performed (definitive test results). Testing turn- around Time is 1-5 Day. Rapid testing coming soon.
  • These centers also have the full clinical capability to evaluate MOS if further treatment is needed. All centers have X-rays, point of care testing, blood draw capability, etc.
  • Hours of Operation: Open 7 days a week, various times at each location
