2020 Election Results

Dear Members,

Today we conducted the Election for President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer for CWA Local 1181. 146 ballots were received by the American Arbitration Association.

Rebecca Greene has won the position of President. 
For the position of Vice President Sara Muhammad received 59 votes. She did not receive the majority of the votes counted so we will conduct a runoff election for this position.  
For the position of Secretary/Treasurer Katrina Aiken received 68 votes. She did not receive the majority of the votes counted so we will conduct a runoff election for this position. 
If no nominee has a majority on the first ballot, a new vote is taken with only the names of the 2 candidates having received the greatest number of votes appearing on the second ballot. 
The following are the top two in each position:

• Vice President: Sarah Muhammad (59 votes) and Mohiuddin Ahmed (33 votes)
• Secretary/Treasurer: Katrina Aiken (68 votes) and Dolores Aladef (31 votes)

You will be notified when the American Arbitration Association provides us with a new date for the runoff election.
