Former 1181 President David Casey is trying to tear our union apart.

Since being removed from office after repeated offenses of misappropriation of our dues money, he has been attempting to get 1181 members to leave our union and join a new union - and he's already appointed himself President without an election!

He's been doing this by giving people false promises and misrepresenting himself, and our union.

A grievance was filed against the City of New York for violating the 2017-2021 memorandum of agreement (MOA). On January 6, 2021 every Local 1181 member was to receive a general wage increase of 1.63%.

I am happy to report that we have settled this grievance with the City of New York and all Members will receive the 1.63% raise retroactively from January 6, 2021. The City has confirmed that it will be in your July 9, 2021 pay check.

In unity,
Rebecca Greene
President local 1181

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Our union is under attack. David Casey, a losing candidate who failed to win our recent election, has decided that rather than help to build up our union, he wants to tear it down.

We are happy to announce that CWA Local 1181 is no longer in temporary adminitrationship.

CWA welcomes your new Executive Board:

President - Rebecca Greene
Vice President - Sarah Muhammad
Secretary/Treasurer - Katrina Aiken
